t makes me wonder how many years--decades?--have passed since those days. I would record the radio English conversation programs on a tape recorder and would listen and re-listen until the tape stretched to uselessness. I would record my own recitation and would compare my pronunciation with the radio narratives. In the days when there weren't many audio English materials around, I would search for any English broadcasts with texts, look up words thoroughly and recite the passages.  No one forced me to do it. It was just my own doing. I did this exercise until I went on to college. >Do you think that the only way to acquire English is to live in an English-speaking country? It certainly is the best way, but there are many exercises you can do here and now. The key is to perceive English as sounds and recreate it as sounds, and to repeat it until the passage sinks into your subconscious. >Here in Kalmia, we prepare audio files of the materials we study in class. You would listen to the audios, read the text aloud until you have learned them thoroughly, and then practice speaking with native instructors based on what you have learned. Would you like to join us and brush up your English skills?
